Grindr and other online dating apps can lead to compulsive behavior. To watch continuously who’s online, to check at any time if you got messages bring anxiety and stress.

Give yourself a time limit to spend on Grindr or similar dating apps, either at home or when you’re around. Uninstall them for a while, telling only to selected friends when you’re coming back online. If you don’t want to be tempted to install them again, involve yourself in activities with someone, do things and not stay lazy alone. Don’t get bored.

If you cannot stop watching at dating apps, tell your login passwords to your accounts to one friend, or to someone who loves you, and ask them to modify the access to the apps.
